On the 17th Doceber a third ridge (15.00) near

Una To ( Sh 24 ) was blown up and further seilous dange caused.

In this case two of the tarce 15-it. stoel spans were badly

danaged and the supporting pier so badly cracked that it will

require to be rebuilt.

The claims to be made in accordance with Article

7(f) of the .orking agreement of 3th September, 1911, will ̧

on the stipulated scale of half the average gross reccipts of

the brition suction for the corresponding month of wo

previous year, probably work out at a minimum of about $660

per day during, December and the total will of course depend

upon the duration of the stoppage.

I would further request that you should bring to

the notice of the Canton Goverment the fuct that claius in

respect of suspension of traffic and decurrago up to ta end

of 1923 and still outstanding, to the total amount of

$997,590.21, have been flied against the maycent of the

Cuinese section of the Railway, with a further $11,458.1o for

the period between 1st January, 192, and the present suspension

of traffic on 13th Decolber.
